Senior Imaging Systems Engineer

Job Summary

At EOPTIC, we’re known for designing innovative technologies that answer a slew of unmet requirements related to complex imaging problems — and we need a self-motivated problem-solver to help us deliver these end-to-end, bespoke solutions. We’re currently seeking a Senior Imaging Systems Engineer to assist in implementing strategies, product evaluation, and ultimately build upon an infrastructure that supports the ever-changing needs of our customers. In this role, you will work with complex imaging systems, designing, developing, and integrating them at every stage of the life cycle. Job Responsibilities

– Lead one or more development assignments, working closely with EOPTIC clients and personnel to manage the deliverable schedule accordingly.

– Develop, update, and maintain end-user, manufacturing, and quality control documentation for EOPTIC products, services and activities.

– Design, code, and test software and integrate hardware to support EOPTIC R&D efforts.

– Provide pre/post-sales engineering support to end-users on their application and product issues.

– Coordinate the activities of others (interns, co-ops, internal staff, client staff, subcontractors, and suppliers) and manage stakeholder expectations and requirements.

– Advise on and participate in processes established to ensure that EOPTIC continuously improves its ability to deliver the highest value products and services to its customers.

– Develop, assemble, test, and deploy measurement systems in support of manufacturing process control and inspection of EOPTIC products.

– Work as part of a team to manage the transfer of technology from research to development to manufacturing.

 

Qualifications Required

– BS, MS or PhD degree in Imaging Science, Physics, Optics, Optical Engineering

– 5+ years relevant experience

– Knowledge of geometric optics, optical metrology and characterization, image quality metrics, computer vision

– Proficient in one or more programming language: MATLAB, Python, C/C++
