Press Release
Rochester, NY – October 12, 2026 – Eoptic, Inc., a developer of advanced multispectral and multi-modal imaging systems, today announced that it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 following the successful completion of a comprehensive third-party assessment by a Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO).
Eoptic elected to move forward with its CMMC Level 2 assessment as part of the company’s broader commitment to cybersecurity and safeguarding sensitive customer and government information. The certification demonstrates Eoptic’s ability to securely handle and protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in support of mission-critical programs.
Importantly, Eoptic completed a full enterprise CMMC Level 2 assessment, rather than limiting the assessment boundary to a dedicated enclave or cloud-based environment. The assessment evaluated the implementation of all 110 security requirements defined by NIST SP 800-171, encompassing 320 assessment objectives, across Eoptic’s entire enterprise environment.
“Protecting our customers’ information is a critical responsibility, particularly as Eoptic continues to expand its work across defense and space applications,” said Pano Spiliotis, CEO of Eoptic. “Achieving CMMC Level 2 across our enterprise reflects the investments we have made in building security into the way we operate as a company. It also gives our customers confidence that their sensitive information is protected throughout our organization.”
Eoptic develops advanced multi-modal imaging solutions designed to capture, process, and deliver actionable data in demanding environments. As the company continues to grow and transition technologies into larger-scale production and deployment, maintaining a mature cybersecurity infrastructure is an increasingly important component of supporting customers across the defense industrial base.
CMMC Level 2 certification further strengthens Eoptic’s position as a secure and trusted partner capable of supporting programs involving CUI and other sensitive information. It also complements the company’s continued investment in scalable processes, quality systems, infrastructure, and operational maturity.
“Certification is an important milestone, but cybersecurity is not a one-time effort,” said Spiliotis. “Maintaining and continuing to mature these standards requires ongoing commitment across the organization. As Eoptic continues to scale its capabilities and intelligent data pipelines, we remain focused on delivering trusted solutions that advance our customers’ missions and support critical national security objectives.”
