Rochester, NY, October 6, 2025 -- Eoptic, a leading provider of intelligent imaging systems for industrial and defense applications, today announced the formation of a Space Systems Division and appoints Kevin Kearney as Chief Technology Officer of Space Systems.
Mr. Kearney brings more than 30 years of experience in the photonics industry, most recently serving in a senior leadership capacity at SmallSat payload manufacturer, Starris Space Systems. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in optical instrumentation, embedded imaging, and technology strategy for space-based applications. Eoptic and Starris maintain an active partnership, with projects underway. This transition further strengthens Eoptic’s position and industry partnerships with decades of experience to deliver technical solutions for the harshest environments.
In his new role at Eoptic, Mr. Kearney is brought in to further product development of multispectral imaging payloads and execution of strategy for Eoptic’s Space Systems Division. His mandate includes driving innovation initiatives, strengthening strategic partnerships across the commercial and national-security sectors, and enhancing the company’s competitive position in the global space market.
